Outlook Express 5/6 Email

Tech Support Home

1.) Start Outlook Express by double clicking the icon located on your desktop. Outlook Express should load and display it's main screen.

2.) Click on Tools at the top of the window. On the menu which drops down, click on Accounts.

3.) Outlook Express may automatically start the Internet Connection Wizard. If so, skip to the next step. If not, when the Internet Accounts window opens, click on the Add button and select Mail.

4.) Enter a Display Name (this will be your real name or a nickname), then click Next.

5.) Make sure the option "I already have an e-mail address..." is selected.
Enter your email address, then click Next.

6.) Make sure the incoming mail server is set as a POP3 server.
Enter the Incoming mail server address: mail.now2000.com.
Enter the Outgoing mail server address: mail.now2000.com. Click Next.

7.) Enter the Account name (this is your username or login, not your entire email address), then enter your password. The password will most likely show up as stars or dots rather than what you are typing in. Make sure the Remember password box is checked and the Log on using Secure Password Authentication box is not checked. Click Next.

8.) Click Finish.

9.) You will see the new account listed under the Mail tab. Click Close. Your email account is now set up on your computer.
